Ahoy!

The story began in 2017 on the remote island of Anholt in Denmark, where our two families crossed paths. A swift camaraderie formed, creating a brother/sisterhood among our children. During a recent vacation in Denmark amid the ongoing corona epidemic, the idea to embark on a world cruise took root. Fortunate enough to navigate both Danish waters and the global seas simultaneously, our plans transitioned from being grounded to purchasing a suitable yacht for our future adventures. Our vacations, often extending on both ends, now transform Stella Polaris into our floating summerhouse, voyaging across the world. When back in Denmark, the boat will be available for fellow sailors or adventurous guests, curious to add saltwater to their blood.
The mission is clear: to reveal the world's beauty to our children before rising oceans and climate changes cast a shadow. With no fixed timeframe, we plan our journey as we sail.
Rømer family & Sparsø family

Naples, November 2023

Meet Casper (44), an experienced skipper, photographer, and father to Sally & Ancher. Holding a Yachtmaster 3rd degree and VHF certificate, he's not only sailed but also adeptly restored boats. With a practical approach and a genuine love for the sea, Casper, alongside Josephine, is more than a Skipper; they're seasoned hands navigating life's adventures with their two companions, Sally and Ancher.
Meet Christian (48), an experienced skipper and regatta connoisseur, alongside his wife Pernille, proud father to Sebastian, and their faithful companion, Ozzy. Christian, holding a Yachtmaster 3rd degree and VHF certificate, extends his commitment to detail. Join this seafaring family on a journey where excellence is not just a goal but a way of navigating the seas.
Meet Josephine (39), the proud mother of Sally and Ancher. Since her first voyage with Casper in 2007, Josephine fell in love with the sea. Notably, she has also sailed with Pernille in a girl team. Renowned for her calm demeanor even in challenging situations, Josephine keeps a positive eye on the crew's well-being and condition.
Meet Pernille (48), the proud mother of Sebastian and Ozzy (the dog). Pernille embraced sailing when she met Christian, undertaking sailing courses and joining Josephine on a "girl-only" J80. Known for her warm heart toward both animals and humans, Pernille is a beacon of positivity. Encountering a more optimistic individual may prove to be quite the challenge.
Meet Ancher (9), a curious, knowledge-seeking, tennis-playing, and delightful young soul. Ancher, our little "professor" onboard, explores answers in both books and his trusty iPad (hmm). Having sailed since birth, his sea legs are as rock solid as his namesake. While Ancher may spar with his sister, Sally, like dogs and cats, their shared love for the sea ties them together like a bowline knot.
Meet Sally (7), a lively whirlwind who keeps Ancher and Sebastian on their toes as they try to keep up. This little cutie is quite the mischief-maker, always knowing how to start a party. Sally has been sailing since birth and navigates the inside of a sailing yacht with the agility of a monkey in a zoo. A true daredevil, Sally pushes boundaries for her "brothers," who often give up and shake their heads in amazement.
Meet Sebastian (11), the boat's "Messi" – a football maestro since an early age. Affectionately called "Seb," he ensures that nobody onboard gets lazy, as balls, SUP boards, and other toys are a daily invitation to stay active. Alongside his "brother", Ancher, Seb often delves into the world of online gaming, though their pursuits are just as often interrupted by the delightful disturbance caused by Sally.
Introducing Ozzy (2), the ship's dog – even though he hasn't set paw on Stella Polaris yet, Ozzy has already showcased his sea legs during sailing adventures with the two families across Scandinavia. While he might join shorter and colder trips, Ozzy primarily serves as a vigilant watch guard back in Denmark.
